NTSA told drivers to use wiper blades and always turn on the headlights to increase visibility.
Driving Safely &Using Brakes
Additionally, drivers have been urged to drive safely and avoid using cruise control.
Besides, they have been told to keep safe distance from the vehicle ahead.
Drivers have also been directed to apply brakes earlier and with less force.
“Be aware that brakes can be affected by water. After going through water, drive slowly this helps dry the brakes,” NTSA said.
Motorists are advised to always keep both hands on the steering wheel to enable full control.
They should also check tyres and replace them if they are worn out.
