Media personality Oga Obinna and content creator Dem Wa Facebook have issued a statement amidst rumours of their fallout.
Obinna posted a video of himself with Dem Wa Facebook where the two were seemingly enjoying a good conversation and hearty laughter. The video had a background voiceover of former President Mwai Kibaki’s famous statement about having only one wife.
He went on to write a caption for the video; Haya Announcement ndio hiyo….mtu wangu ni mmoja (There goes the announcement, my person is only one).
Reason for break-up
Oga Obinna and Dem Wa Facebook have not been on good terms judging from their recent social media posts.
The speculation of their fallout began when Oga Obinna missed Dem Wa Facebook’s birthday party. Dem Wa Facebook reacted to this with a message that was reportedly targeted at Oga Obinna, urging people to manage their expectations.

“Kuna wenye nilialika hawakuja… Lakini with or without them tulifanya tu event vizuri (There are those I invited who didn’t come… But with or without them, we still had a good event), said Dem Wa Facebook.
Obinna wrote a message shortly after, whereby his fans believed was an indirect response to Dem Wa Facebook’s message.
Do you know why a ship sinks? It’s not because of the water around it. It’s because of the water that gets inside it. Yeah. If you know, you know,” said Obinna.

History behind Oga Obinna and Dem Wa Facebook Collaboration
Oga Obinna started collaborating with Dem Wa Facebook on his show Obinna Show Live, in the beginning of 2024. The collaboration was birthed after Obinna hosted her on his show and learnt that she has something unique that could be an asset to the show.

While speaking at an interview, Obinna said working with her has been an amazing journey as she has been embraced by the fans of the show.
“It turned into a different thing. People have really embraced her, and now we are even doing a tour around the country. It’s been amazing. We are learning and improving things here and there. Hopefully, by the end of the year, she’ll be unrecognizable,” Obinna said.
