Concern is growing over the whereabouts of 28-year-old Kenyan national and student, Philip Kibet Ngeny, who has reportedly gone missing in Norwich, United Kingdom, after his family and friends lost contact with him earlier in August 2026.
The information has been shared by members of the Kenyan diaspora community, who are appealing for help in tracing him.
According to the diaspora family, Philip Kibet Ngeny traveled to the UK in September 2023 to study at the University of East Anglia in Norwich.
After completing his studies, he reportedly began working at a warehouse in Norwich, where he was based when he disappeared.

Family and friends say Philip Kibet Ngeny was last known to be reachable by phone around August 7, 2026.
They said subsequent attempts to contact him by phone and message were unsuccessful, raising concern among those who knew him.
Last Known Plans Of Philip Kibet Ngeny Raise Fresh Questions
The diaspora family said concerns about Ngeny’s whereabouts emerged as early as late July.
According to his friend Ezekiel, Philip Kibet Ngeny was planning to relocate from Norwich to Coventry. Ezekiel reportedly traveled to an agreed meeting point to assist him with the move, but Ngeny did not arrive.
Ngeny’s sister, Patricia Meto, also raised concerns about changes in his communication.

Meto messaged Ngeny on July 28 but received only a brief response on August 4. She described the delayed response as unusual for her brother.
“His sister, Patricia Meto, says Philip’s communication had also become unusual. She says a message she sent on July 28 only received a brief response on August 4, something she considered out of character,” the diaspora media reported.
Friends have reportedly continued attempting to reach Ngeny without success. Lesly Choge said she reported him missing to police on August 18, 2026.
The missing-person report was assigned reference number 001713-18082026, according to the information provided by the diaspora community.
Family Makes Urgent Appeal
The family is now appealing directly to Ngeny to contact them, even briefly, to confirm he is safe.

In their appeal, they said: “Philip, where are you? We just hope you are okay. Kindly reach out, at least so that we know you are okay.”
The diaspora family has also appealed to anyone with information about Ngeny’s whereabouts to come forward.
They provided the contacts +254 790 211 791 and +44 7349 688185 for information that could help the family locate him.
The appeal comes as relatives and friends continue efforts to establish Ngeny’s whereabouts following the reported loss of contact. The family has urged members of the public to share the information widely in the hope that someone with relevant information can help locate him safely.
