The Russian Embassy in Kenya through the Russian government, on Monday, October 6, announced the launch of scholarships for the academic year 2025-2026.
In a statement, the Embassy called on Kenyan citizens to register, complete an application form, and apply by December 2024.
“Competitive selection of candidates for Russian government scholarships for the academic year 2025-2026 has been launched!” part of the statement read.
“Make sure to complete your application form and apply by December 2024,” the Russian Embassy added.
The program provides a unique opportunity for applicants and young professionals to receive a quality education at the country’s leading universities.
Embassy gives way forward on application
To participate in the competitive selection of the scholarship exercise, candidates have been urged by the embassy to proceed to the Russian education platform named education-in-russia.com.
At the online platform, the main programs have been highlighted which include the various levels of education candidates intend to pursue.
The levels of education include postgraduate studies, bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, assistantship internship, residency, and specialty and secondary vocational education.
Additionally, the platform has various fields of study one intends to pursue which include Military Administration, Humanities, Healthcare and Medical Services, Engineering Technology, and Technical Sciences.

Other fields of study include Arts and Culture, Mathematical and Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Education and pedagogical sciences, and Agriculture and Agricultural sciences.
However, the duration of study of the scholarships will depend on the program that an applicant has selected.
Moreover, candidates have been urged to fill the following details while registering on the education portal.
1. Name and Surname in Latin letters
2. Country of application
3. Email address
4. Password
5. Confirm password
Process for admission to a Russian university
After registration, applicants can proceed to select their choice of field of study they intend to pursue.

1. Selecting a program and up to 6 universities.
2. Fill out the online application form and attach the required documents.
3. Passing the competitive selection in your country.
4. After passing the competitive selection, receiving an invitation to study and a study visa.
