Claire Juma is a security guard who despite a difficult life, has successfully completed her degree in Education from Kibabii University.
Her powerful story has been shared by the Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula, who on Tuesday, November 26, met and engaged with Claire.
Claire’s story is a reminder to everyone that with hard work, focus, and an unwavering belief in oneself, no dream is unattainable.
“This morning, Claire visited my office in the company of her area Member of Parliament (MP), John Chikati. Her story is a remarkable reflection of how education serves as the ultimate equalizer in society.
“It reminds us all that no human is limited and that with hard work and focus, anyone can achieve their dreams,” stated Wetangula.

Claire Juma’s Educational Journey
She began her journey in a position many consider menial, working tirelessly as a security guard.
Despite the challenges, she never gave up her pursuit of education. Her goal was to secure a better future for herself and inspire others to overcome obstacles.
“Her journey is a beacon of hope for those who face interruptions or challenges in pursuing their education. Claire has proven that taking up humble jobs with dedication and a clear goal can open doors to greater opportunities,” added the speaker.
Moreover, her area MP, John Chikati noted that education is capable of bridging societal divides and opening doors to endless opportunities.
The MP supported Claire’s academic aspirations, praised her unwavering resolve and expressed confidence in her ability to excel in her new chapter.

Claire Stepping into the Job Market
On the other hand, the MP said that he had secured a job for the graduate at a local school, as she waited to get a Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Further, he has called on leaders to support individuals like Claire, whose stories inspire and uplift entire communities.
” I have managed to secure her a teaching opportunity in one of the local schools as she awaits her Teachers Service Commission number for employment,” said the MP.
Claire’s dedication to her studies and determination to succeed has redefined her path, proving that humble beginnings do not dictate one’s destiny.
She now steps into the job market, with the support and encouragement of Wetangula and her area MP, armed with her degree and a deep sense of purpose.
