TikToker Mbote Njogu has helped trace a man who went missing three months ago and was eventually found alive in Kalokol, Turkana County, about 750 kilometers from his home in Ndeiya, Kiambu County.
The popular content creator shared the news on social media, saying the family had searched for the missing man for months without success before learning his whereabouts in the remote northern town.
According to Mbote, the breakthrough came after a member of the public contacted the family to report that the man had been seen in Kalokol.
The information prompted efforts to verify the sighting and locate him.
“Someone contacted the family to say he had seen him in a town called Kalokol in northern Kenya. We will be bringing him home. He says he came on foot,” Mbote wrote.
The discovery ended months of uncertainty for the family, who had been searching for answers since the man’s disappearance.
Long-Awaited Breakthrough
Mbote said the man had gone missing about three months ago and that no one had found any trace of him during that period.
Mbote indicated that the missing man had mental health challenges and is believed to have traveled a considerable distance before ending up in Kalokol, a town on the shores of Lake Turkana.

Others commended members of the public who shared information with the family, saying their actions helped end a 3-month-long search.
