A United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Member of Parliament (MP) Bernard Kitur has announced that he secured more than 80 job opportunities for youths in Dubai.
In a statement on Wednesday, November 1, the Nandi legialtor stated that he was able to secure the jobs as promised in his manifesto, after a year of networking.
Further, he noted that all the jobs secured were offering salaries ranging from Ksh100,000 and above.
Notably, all the jobs were secured for residents of Nandi County who were below the age of 45.
“I am moving 81+ young people to Dubai this coming week to work there. Attached are just samples of the few visas being churned out.
“The salary is Ksh100,000 and above, they did not pay a dime for this, and it is only the beginning. I want to move 1000+ young people by the end of next year and more than 5000 in my term,” Kitur stated.

Advice to Nandi Hills Residents
At the same time, the member of parliament asked residents of Nandi Hills to ensure that they always have their travel documents ready because he would continue to secure jobs for them.
Additionally, he asked them to visit his offices and ask for such opportunities if they had technical skills.
“I stated earlier that if you are a resident of Nandi Hills as long as you are under 45 years you must always have a passport, driving license and Police Certificate of Good Conduct and must visit my office to register.
“I said if you have done any course like painting, tiling, building, plumbing and others. You must also have the above items, “added Kitur.

How county Government Will Benefit from the Move
According to Kitur, the move will enable the county government to gain a remittance of at least Ksh500,000 every month.,
At the same time, he stated that in turn, it would lead to the development of the community and change the lives of the people.
“At my peak I want at least a Ksh100k salary job for 5000 residents which would mean bringing in Ksh500,000,000 monthly to Nandi Hills.
“You know what that means to the community, the multiplier effect to this is unimaginable. Annually you can calculate comes to Ksh6 billion,” he explained.
