The Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF) has officially opened applications for aspirants seeking the party’s ticket in the 2027 General Election.
In a public notice dated September 2, the party invited interested candidates to register as WPF aspirants by October 3, 2026.
The notice targets those seeking nomination for various positions, including Governor, Senator, Member of the National Assembly, County Woman Representative, and Member of County Assembly (MCA).
Wiper Announces Nomination Fees
Aspirants interested in being nominated through party lists have also been invited to register through the same process.
“Those interested in being nominated by WPF in the various categories (Party Lists) are also invited to register,” the notice stated.
Applicants are required to complete an online form through the party’s website, https://wiper.co.ke/aspirants, before proceeding with the nomination process.
Wiper has also unveiled the fees aspirants must pay to participate in its nomination process.
Those seeking the governor’s ticket will pay Ksh50,000, making it the highest nomination fee among the elective positions listed by the party.
Senatorial aspirants will be required to pay Ksh20,000, the same amount set for candidates seeking election as Members of the National Assembly and County Woman Representatives.

Those seeking MCA seats will pay Ksh10,000.
The party has, however, offered a discounted fee structure for women, youth and persons with disabilities in most elective positions.
Under the special category, gubernatorial aspirants will pay Ksh25,000, while those seeking senatorial, National Assembly and Woman Representative positions will each pay Ksh10,000.
MCA aspirants falling under the special category will be required to pay Ksh5,000.
The WPF notice also clarifies that nomination fees are non‑refundable, even if an aspirant fails to secure the ticket, and warns that double‑registration or false declarations will lead to disqualification and possible disciplinary action.
Party officials say the online system will cross‑check applicants against the IEBC voter register and Huduma Namba records to confirm eligibility and county of origin.
In parallel, WPF has begun vetting potential candidates for integrity, criminal records, and tax compliance, with a special committee tasked with flagging any aspirant with pending court cases or unresolved ethics issues before primaries.
Wiper Party follows a trend among political parties of offering concessions to encourage greater participation by groups that have traditionally faced challenges in elective politics.
Political Positioning Ahead of 2027
The opening of aspirant applications comes as Wiper Patriotic Front intensifies efforts to position itself as a national political force ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Wiper has repositioned itself from a largely Ukambani-based party to a national political outfit after rebranding as Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF).
Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has been fronting Wiper as part of a broader opposition “Government-in-Waiting” and has repeatedly called for a united opposition front ahead of the polls.
The party’s slogan, “Komboa Kenya” (Rescue Kenya), has become the centerpiece of Kalonzo Musyoka’s 2027 campaign message, focusing on economic hardship, unemployment, corruption, governance, and the cost of living.
According to party documents and Kalonzo’s recent policy platform, Wiper advocates integrity, inclusivity, and social justice, alongside transparent and accountable leadership.
The party has also pledged to promote constitutionalism, safeguard civil liberties, combat corruption, recover stolen public funds, create jobs through a 24-hour economy, and lower the cost of living through economic reforms.
In recent months, the party has expanded its leadership team, intensified membership recruitment across all 47 counties, and continued preparations to field candidates nationwide in 2027.
