Breaking Down the Finale’s Message

“Finale” is a feel-good, celebratory track centered on football culture, capturing the excitement as fans come together to watch a match and the party atmosphere that follows.

The word “finale” in the chorus has multiple meanings:

The final whistle of a football game, “Referee, puliza kipenga” translates to “Referee, blow the whistle”

The culminating moment of joy, celebration, and victory

The party atmosphere when the match ends, and friends gather.

Key Lyrics

Bien’s opening verse

“A legendary time catch a wine hapa sa ndio inabamba”
Translation: “A legendary time, catching a vibe here, this is what’s popular”

Bien declares he’s got the vibe that catches him (“mi ni vibe ndio hunibamba”) and doesn’t worry about others’ success (“yamewashinda, yao yetu wataweza“, “they’ve beaten them, ours will manage”).

Ali Kiba’s verse

“Hata wakizima data, usiskize yao”
Translation: “Even when they turn off your data, don’t listen to them”

Kiba emphasizes confidence and self-assurance in love and life, declaring himself a “professor” in matters of the heart (“Haya mapenzi mi ni profesa“) and trusting that God will protect them (“Najua Mungu atatulinda”).

The repeated line “Leo silali“ (Tonight I won’t sleep) appears in both verses, emphasizing the all-night celebration energy of the song.

With Finale, Bien-Aimé Baraza has reached an important milestone in his career as an individual singer after successfully positioning himself as one of East Africa’s leading artists, thanks to his brilliant partnership with Ali Kiba from Tanzania.

The song has gained over 30 million views on YouTube and has dominated the charts in 2026, embracing the culture of football as well as the joy of life and friendship.

Finale has proved that Bien has moved beyond being part of the Sauti Sol group and developed a unique style that appeals to younger listeners.
