James Mburu, popularly known as Mtaalam J Mburu, is a multi-talented businessman. He is the founder of Mukeu spring water, Jambu Tv, Jambu Radio, Mukeu Tv, Karindi Tv, Mukeu Herbal, and a musician.
He has been trending on social media, with people alluding that he is the CEO, Director, Production director, Reporter, Presenter, and DJ at his TV stations.
At the same time, an artist, a Pastor, a medical practitioner, and a herbalist.
Early Life
Mtaalam was born in Karangatha, Nyandarua County, and raised in a humble background. His parents were peasant farmers who struggled to raise him and his siblings.
As he grew up, Mburu often found himself unfairly accused by his village mates, who blamed him for stealing. However, James, known for his integrity and hard work by his parents.
The Rise of Mtaalam Mburu
James faced significant financial challenges at home, which forced him to pause his education.
However, instead of the challenges, he began composing songs as a way to earn a living. Fortunately, a good Samaritan overheard him while he was tending to his grandfather’s cows and, recognizing his potential as a singer, and encouraged him to record his music.
The good Samaritan offered to take him to a studio to record his music. Mburu was able to pursue his passion for music and also sell cassettes to support his family.
His grandfather, noticing his entrepreneurial skills, decided to support him by giving him a few liters of milk to start a small business. This venture proved successful and allowed James to fund his education.

Working in Nairobi
He moved to Nairobi and took on a job as a Shamba boy in one of the estates, earning a modest Ksh20 per day.
Determined to build a better future, James pursued nursing and eventually secured a job at a hospital in Nyandarua, and later he was employed at an herbal school in Limuru.
However, there was a strike at the hospital, and an old man visited the hospital the same day and out of compassion, James volunteered to treat the man.

Mburu New Path
Unfortunately, his colleagues attacked him for his decision, forcing James to leave the medical field.
After some years, he became an expert in herbal medicine and founded his own chain of clinics, known as Mukeu Herbal Clinics. His venture grew into a thriving network of over 50 clinics across Kenya and Tanzania.
Today, James expanded his entrepreneurial skills by owning several media outlets, including Jambu TV, Jambu Radio, Mukeu TV, and Karindi TV. In addition, he sells Mukeu spring water, he is a songwriter, musician, actor and producer.
