VFS Global, the company contracted to provide support services for travellers seeking a UK visa, has announced that Kenyans living in Mombasa can now access its Premium Application Centre.
In an announcement on February 18, VFS Global stated that the premium services offered at the centre will incur an additional fee of approximately KSh 26,257 (GBP 150).
“This Premium Application Centre has an additional fee of GBP 150. You can pay this fee when you book your appointment online,” read part of the announcement.
VFS Global clarified that applicants who do not wish to use the premium services can still book appointments at the standard UK Visa Application Centre at no extra cost.
Further, the visa company stated that selecting the Premium Centre does not influence the outcome of a visa application, which remains entirely at the discretion of UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI).
VFS Global Announces Ksh26K Additional Fee for UK Visa Premium Services
This centre will offer optional value-added services to enhance your visa application experience.
For a more personalized service at the Application Centre, applicants can access services including:
- Direct access to a Premium Service counter where staff will verify the documents provided, and take payment in a single location
- Cold and hot beverages
- A dedicated team member assisting during the submission process
- Photocopy, Printing, Photograph, SMS, and Courier services
- The option of submitting any missing documents before 16:00 on the same day
The visa service does not guarantee the right to obtain a residence permit, nor faster processing of your application.
Additionally, using the Premium Lounge service will not guarantee the success of an application or affect the service standard.
The Application Centre in Kenya offers only Photocopy and Courier Service as part of the Premium Lounge service.

The visa company stated that UKVI services, such as Priority and Super Priority Visas, are available for purchase online only.
Failure to complete this payment, if applicable, after booking an appointment may result in delays.
