Goodlife Pharmacy is one of the fastest-growing pharmacies and health hubs in East Africa. It has a total reach of over 2 million people and with more than 140 stores in Kenya and Uganda.

Goodlife was co-founded by Dr. Josh Ruxin in 2013 and funded by Leapfrog Investments.
The aim was “Helping the Nation to Look and Feel Good One Person at a Time.” Goodlife focuses on providing high-quality individual customer care at an affordable price and convenient locations across the region.
LeapFrog was founded in 2007, and its companies now reach 261 million people across 35 countries with healthcare or financial services.
LeapFrog investee companies have also grown on average at 26 per cent annually from the time of investment.

Goodlife has been endorsed by the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya, through their Green Cross Audit, as the best pharmacy practice in the country.
The Goodlife approach to quality pharmaceuticals, use of innovative technologies across their stores, and customer-centric approach is revolutionising how healthcare is delivered in East Africa.
It has created over 500 jobs in the fields including Pharmacy, Finance, Administration, ICT, Human Resource, and Procurement.
It has grown into the largest private pharmacy chain in East Africa, with nearly 100 locations in Kenya and Uganda.

Partnerships and Acquisitions
In 2014, Ruxin acquired Mimosa Pharmacy through his other company named Africa Chemist and Beauty Care (ACBC).
Ruxin partnered with a private Equity Firm, Catalyst, in the acquisition process.
ACBC is an investment vehicle in the beauty and health care industry.
The Company is owned by Josh Ruxin and David Zapol.
Chris Getonga was founded by Mimosa Pharmacy, and it had 6 branches before Ruxin took it over.
The branches were located at Junction Mall, Crossroads Mall in Karen, Ridgeways Mall, Oasis Mall in Malindi, and WPS Building in Watamu.

CFAO Healthcare Buys Shares
In March 2022, LeapFrog Investments sold nearly 30% of its shareholding in Goodlife Pharmacies to Eurapharma (CFAO Healthcare).
Eurapharma is the healthcare division of the CFAO Group and a foremost wholesale distributor of quality pharmaceuticals in Africa, where it owns and operates subsidiaries in 23 countries.
It handles the distribution of pharmaceutical products and medicines in more than 23 countries in Africa through a streamlined supply chain, ensuring integrity every step of the way, from warehouse to pharmacy.
It also operates renowned laboratories. Eurapharma also produces licensed drugs in Morocco and Algeria.
In March 2025, CFAO Healthcare announced plans to acquire the remaining 69.9% stake in Goodlife.
