The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) has announced internship applications for the 2026 cohort.
The internship is open to current students and recent graduates worldwide.
Selected students will be placed according to their area of specialization and country, and a stipend will be offered.
Among fields of study are Architecture, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Communication, Journalism and Related Programs, Computer Science, Informatics, Cybersecurity, Economics, Business, Management and Marketing, and Education
How To Apply IAESTE Internship
To apply for the internship, one is required to log in to the application portal, create an account, and then a verification code will be sent to their email.

Step 1: Register and Fill in General Information
Interested students should log in to the IAESTE portal by clicking a link sent to their email
Followed by filling in the required details, including:
- Full Name, Phone, Email, and Address
- Date and Place of Birth, Gender, and Nationality
- Local Committee (your country’s IAESTE chapter)
For Kenyan students, the local committee is universities affiliated to IAESTE, which are:
- Technical University of Kenya
- Murang’a University
- Kibabii University
- Karatina University
- Egerton University
- Kenya-JKUAT
- Meru University
- Maasai Mara University
- Dedan Kimathi University of Technology
Step 2: Complete Education and Skills Section
Applicants are required to fill out their academic background:
- University Name and Degree Programme (Bachelor, Master, or PhD)
- Years of Study Completed and Required Years of Study
- General Discipline and Field of Study (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics)
- Type of Study (Full-time or Part-time)
- Language Skills and Other Skills such as Writing, Editing, Research, or Technical Competencies
Step 3: Join the Global Talent Pool and Upload CV
Applicants are asked whether they consent to join the Global Talent Pool:
- Yes: Your profile is shared with IAESTE committees worldwide for better internship matching. You must complete all fields and upload an up-to-date CV in PDF format.
- No: Only your local committee can contact you; global matching is unavailable.
Selecting Yes increases visibility and improves chances of being placed in high-demand internships.

Step 4: Upload Supporting Internal Documents
Your local IAESTE committee may request internal documents such as:
- Academic transcripts
- Reference letters or recommendation letters
- Proof of enrollment e.g., student ID
- Motivation letters ,if requested
Once all fields and documents are complete, click Save and Validate to ensure no errors remain.
Click Submit for Verification to send your profile to your local IAESTE committee.
How to Apply KRA Internship
Students interested in the KRA Industrial Attachment Program must submit their applications online through the Authority’s e-recruitment portal. The following are the steps to follow when applying.
- Registration: Visit the KRA official website, log in, and click ‘Register’ to start the process. After registering, check your email to confirm your address and complete registration.
- Log In: Return to the website, enter your username and password, and click ‘Log in’. The system will open the Applicant page.
- In the Applicant dashboard, go to the ‘Candidate Profile’ tab and click ‘My Profile’, and follow the instructions to create or update your profile. Complete the process by clicking ‘Overview and Release’ and checking the box to finalize your profile.
- Return to the dashboard and click the ‘Employment Opportunities’ tab, and under ‘Job Search’, click ‘Start’ to view available positions. later select the job posting to view its details, then click ‘Apply’.
