President William Ruto has announced a reshuffle in the cabinet.
The changes in President Ruto’s cabinet have affected several cabinet secretaries including Moses Kuria, and Alfred Mutua.
According to a statement from State House, the President merged the office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Affairs.
Consequently, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi will take over control of the Foreign Affairs docket.
Mudavadi will now head a docket named the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Further, Dr Alfred Mutua, who previously held the office of Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary will head the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife.
Also affected by the reshuffle is Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria who will henceforth serve as the CS for Public Service, Performance, and Delivery Management.
To replace him in the trade docket, President Ruto reassigned Rebecca Miano who previously served as the CS in the Ministry of EAC Affairs and Asals development.
In addition, the President moved Peninah Malonza to the Ministry of East African Community and the Asals and Regional Development.
In other changes, CS Aisha Jumwa, formerly the Cs for Public Service will lead a new docket named Gender, Culture, and the Arts and Heritage.

The President also reassigned Water CS to the Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning with CS Zachary Njeru replacing her in the Water and Sanitation Ministry.
Further, State House announced the constitution of the Office of Government’s Spokesperson with former Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura set to take over the role.
Mwaura will, according to the statement, be deputized by two deputies among them former K24 news anchor Mwanaisha Chidzuga.
Gabriel Muthuma will also assume the role of the Deputy Government Spokesperson alongside Chidzuga.
