A Tanzanian Deejay wowed social media users after sharing a video of himself performing at the peak of Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro.
Joseph Simon, known to his audience as Dj Joozey, said he played a 15-minute set 5,895 meters above sea level through his tweeter handle on Sunday. He posted the video, which he captioned,
“I did it!! I played on Mt Kilimanjaro the highest free-standing mountain in world. 5,895 metres (19,341 ft) above sea level and 4,900 metres (16,100 ft) above its plateau base. Breaking the World Record I am the first man to ever play a 15min DJ set. GOD IS GOOD!”

Dj Joozey is not a new name Tanzania’s showbiz. According to Tangaza, a local publication, the 27-year-old has been in the industry for around five years. The youngster was last year selected among the few Africans to be featured in American rapper DJ Khaled’s album campaign for his ‘God Did’ album.
Netizens lauded his creativity and urged him on while advising him to dress warmer for his next mountaineering venture to beat the freezing cold.
