Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party Secretary General Junet Mohamed has dismissed claims that he is the voice heard in a leaked audio.
In the audio, a man is heard planning a ‘high level meeting’ with officials from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.
Junet through a press release on Sunday, July 31, termed the audio as fake and that it is an act of malice from certain individuals who are against him.
“A manipulate voice recording doing rounds on social media purporting to capture Hon. Junet Mohamed as speaking to an IEBC official is fake,” read the statement on his twitter.

“Hon. Junet urges the public to ignore the video, which appears to be one of the last desperate acts of a dying polytical campaign that has been based on years of lies, innuendoes, mudslinging, arrogance, chest-thumping, name calling, insults and now on a sympathy-seeking spree.” The statement further read.
Moreover, in the statement Hon. Junet has asked investigative agencies to move with speed and investigate the matter, unearth the perpetrators and bring them to the law.”
Nonetheless, in the audio tape making rounds online, a man is heard speaking to a purported official from the electoral body in vernacular requesting that IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati and the commission’s boss Hussein Marjan be present in the meeting.
