President William Ruto’s Senior Economic Advisor, Moses Kuria, has sent a chilling warning to former Deputy President (DP) Rigathi Gachagua.
In a statement on June 26, Kuria said Gachagua was part of the team which misled the Mt. Kenya region by ignoring former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The other people he mentioned include National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani, Ichung’wah, Kiharu Member of Parliament (MP) Ndindi Nyoro, Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire and former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary (CS) Mithika Linturi.
Kuria claimed that they did not lie to their residents to use them during protests to destroy properties and businesses.
He alleged that around 70 people died in the Mt. Kenya during the memorial protests on June 25, 2025.
“My good friend Rigathi Gachagua. You, Ichungwa, Ndindi, Mbarire, Linturi and I lied to the Kikuyus to abandon Uhuru Kenyatta,” he said.
“Did we do that only to convert them into suicide bombers, destroying our very own properties and businesses? 70 Kikuyu lives lost yesterday alone! You know this is not right, brother. Stop it.”
Moses Kuria Killing Threat
Besides, Kuria threatened to kill anyone who would put the lives of Kenyans at risk.
Kuria said this in a separate post without directly mentioning the person he was referring to.
“You put my people’s lives at risk again I kill you. It’s that simple,” he said.
Investors Leaving Kenya
Additionally, Kuria claimed that foreign investors of the JITU business empire in Nyeri are planning to relocate to another country as a result of the demonstrations.
JITU is a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) operation that is based at Naivas Building in Nyeri.
Kuria said JITU is one of the BPO Operations that chose to expand in ‘peaceful and politically stable’ Nyeri, following an initiative to incentivize Kenya as a BPO destination that President Ruto while he was serving as Trade CS in 2023.
“They employ 400 young Kenyans some earning up to Ksh 400,000 per month in AI, Robotics, Software Development and Customer Service, mostly for US Companies. JITU has transformed the outlook of Nyeri town,” Kuria said.
“The good news is that I have made arrangements for the 400 young people to be hired as gardeners at Wamunyoro once JITU relocates.”

Gachagua Accuses Govt of Sponsoring Goons
However, Gachagua has condemned the use of excessive force and live bullets by the Police on peaceful and unharmed Gen-Z protesters.
Gacahagua said, genuine Gen-Z protestors were blocked in their thousands on Kiambu road and Thika road, where no businesses were looted.
He said the police allowed goons into Nairobi CBD at their expense to go and cause mayhem and place the blame on the Gen Z.
“We have credible information that in Nairobi, especially downtown region, businesses belonging to people from a certain region were clearly identified by officials from the County Government of Nairobi and elsewhere, this brutal exercise was led by politicians allied to this rogue regime,” Gachagua said.
He alleged that the rogue officials and politicians led goons on a targeted looting spree to intimidate and coerce them to support this unpopular regime.

Switching TV Stations & Profiling Mt. Kenya Region
Gachagua accused the government of deliberately switching off the signals of major National TV stations to have state-sponsored goons loot and destroy property under police protection.
Further, Gachagua claimed that Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen pretentiously visited the shops that were looted by state-sponsored goons in an attempt to hide his guilt.
He also dismissed Murkomen’s statement that the protest was a Kikuyu Uprising.
“The CS is well aware that the Gen-Zs were against corruption, extrajudicial killings, abductions and anarchy. This is not the first time this statement is coming from Murkomen. I wish to remind you that this community you are profiling, voted for you to a man and gave life to this regime,” he said.
