The bishop and reverend of AIPCA Ndogino in Ndaragwa are under fire for inviting President William Ruto to the church on July 14.
X (Twitter) user Mwabili Mwagodi, who has been calling out religious leaders for hosting politicians in churches, received the contacts of the religious leaders from residents of the area.
According to Mwabili, the residents and Kenyans at large had voiced their disapproval of pulpit politics and the plunder of resources associated with church fundraisers.
As a result, residents of the area have promised to show up in church and bar Ruto from speaking.
Mwabili has sent a warning to the bishop concerning hosting Ruto, adding that they will not allow him to speak.

“This message is to inform you that I am currently out of the country on a work assignment, but my people shall (MANDATORY) Occupy Ndaragwa on Sunday and they shall (MANDATORY) make sure Ruto doesn’t address the Church from the Pulpit,
“God bless you and see you on Sunday bright and early!!!” a message to the bishop reads in part.

Earlier, the Lavington United Church was forced to cancel its fundraiser event, where First Lady Rachel Ruto was meant to be the chief guest following uproar from Kenyans.
The invitation card had detailed that the First Lady would be the chief guest, in an event that sought to help complete the construction of a new church.
“The Leadership and Pastoral Team of Lavington United Church wishes to inform members that the Fundraising Event scheduled for 30th June 2024 has been canceled,” a notice from the church read in part.
However, the reverend’s contacts were shared online, and various individuals sent him messages and called him warning him against hosting the first lady at the event.
“I see here you have invited Mrs. Rachel Ruto to your church for a fundraiser. First of all, the money is definitely looted from the taxes I pay to this government.
“Secondly, her husband is on a killing spree of young men, women and children around the country. This message is to notify you that we are coming for the fundraiser. God bless you,” one of the messages sent to the pastor read in part.

“During the meeting, the Executive Committee recognized that the nation of Kenya is at a critical moment of redefining and reshaping her identity, ethos and future.
