Uproar After X Discredits Blogger Pauline Njoroge

Kenyans on X have come to the defense of blogger, Pauline Njoroge, after artificial intelligence created by X known as Grok, listed her as one of the biggest spreaders of disinformation.

The scandal started when American businessman, Ian Cox, posted the list of disinformation spreaders in Kenya on his X account.

Further, Ian Cox noted that he requested for the list of the X accounts that spread most disinformation in Kenya from the conversational AI Grok.

“These accounts have been found to share misleading or false information, contributing to the spread of disinformation on the platform,” the app, Grok noted.

“It is important to critically evaluate the information shared by these accounts and seek out verified sources to ensure the accuracy of the information being consumed,” the AI app further warned.

The list consisted of X personalities and influencers. However, Pauline Njoroge’s name stood out at the top of the list.

Kenyans Defend the Blogger

However, this got Kenyans talking on the social media app, taking sides with Pauline Njoroge.

Further, X users noted that the AI app was inaccurate, further questioning the criteria that was used to create the list.

“That’s strange. I haven’t seen an inaccurate tweet from her for some time now.” One x user, Mr G pointed out.

“This cannot be true. What method was used to rank levels of disinformation? What sources of truth were their posts cross-checked against? It can only make sense (and still wouldn’t be true) if the users were (fraudulently) flagged by other users,” an X user, Kenya and Pan African Context, further stated.

“Let Pauline Njoroge continue informing Kenyans. She is more trustworthy than the entire government led by conman Ruto,” GOK Critique commented.

“People should just give alternative facts, everybody can see what’s happening,” Eric M noted.

Additionally, the people who came to the defense of the blogger further questioned the American entrepreneur’s intentions when requesting for the list, poking holes at his credibility.

“I can’t and I won’t be convinced by this,” X user Antonio stated in response to the list.

As of the publishing of this article, Pauline Njoroge has not commented on the listing.
