As of October 2023, Kenyans can travel to forty-five countries all around the world without a visa.
Visa free travel only requires that a traveler has a passport, travelling fare and any other documents that may be required by the country of destination.

The Kenyan passport ranks 133rd in the world as of October 2023 as ranked by the Visa Guide Passport Index.
According to the index, Singapore’s passport ranks first as Singapore citizens can travel to 156 countries without visas.

Furthermore, the United States passport ranks 39th in the index. In this case, US passport holders can travel to 141 countries globally without a visa.

Travelling Within the East African Community (EAC)
In the East African Community (EAC), citizens of East African states can travel through EAC member countries without a visa.
Notably, the East African Community comprises of Kenya, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, South Sudan, Uganda, and Tanzania.
The EAC has its headquarters in Arusha, Tanzania.
According to EAC guidelines, the transport documents required include passport, certificate of identity or the inter-state pass, proof of yellow fever vaccination and full Covid-19 vaccination certificate.
Only non-EAC citizens are required to travel without visas through East African Community member states.
Other than the EAC countries, Kenyan passport holders can travel to other select African and non- African countries without a visa.
African countries that do not require visas to travel to include South Africa, South Sudan, Mozambique, Malawi, Ethiopia and Eswatini.
Moreover, Kenyans can travel to popular tourist destination, Mauritius, without requiring visas.
Countries Outside Africa Kenyans Can Travel to Visa Free
Non-African countries where Kenyans can travel without a visa include Singapore, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago and Vanuatu.
Interestingly, Kenyans can also travel to Haiti without visas. However, Kenyan passport holders travelling without a visa can stay in Haiti for a period of 90 days after their arrival.

Other countries that Kenyans can travel visa free include Hong Kong, Barbados, Jamaica, Kiribati, Malaysia and Philippines.
Furthermore, other visa free countries to Kenyan backpackers are Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Cook Islands, Cuba, Dominica, Fiji, and Grenada.
