Raila Odinga while speaking during a church service in Kibra on Sunday, August 27 said he wants to know the truth about what transpired in the August 9 General election and vote tallying process.
The Azimio La Umoja One Kenya leader said he is in pursuit of the truth to ensure that there is justice, peace and reconciliation.
“For there to be reconciliation, truth must be known, where is the truth?” Raila asked.
Moreover, Raila pointed fingers at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission commissioners for not speaking in the same voice.
He asked whether the IEBC faction led by Wafula Chebukati, Abdi Guliye and Boya Molu can be trusted, or that led by Juliana Cherera, Justus Nyang’aya, Francis Wanderi and Irene Masit.
“Are the three saying the truth or it is the four? Where is the truth? Between the two groups of commissioners, somewhere there is the truth. What I am asking for as Raila Amollo Odinga is to be told the truth,” he said.

“It is a shame to democracy, shame to the world. These are things we do not want to see; they are trying to stage a civilian coup to subvert the will of the people. Kenyans will not allow it,” Raila added.
Furthermore, the Azimio boss asked the Supreme Court to deliver justice, saying that he will accept the outcomes, as long as it is truthful.
“I do not fear, if I lost I will say I lost. And I will go home. But where is the truth? I am sure I did not lose, I will stand firm, and I will not be shaken,” Raila said.
