Heavy rains take Nairobians by surprise
After the rains subsided for close to a week, most parts of Nairobi received heavy downpour on Thursday evening which left major roads congested.
To further complicate the situation for Nairobi residents leaving work for their homes, public service operators hiked fare prices as most of the vehicles delayed in the traffic snarl-ups.
The rains came barely a week after primary and secondary schools resumed on Monday, May 14, after a directive by President William Ruto.
