The Ukrainian military launched a series of strikes across Russia’s Belgorod Region, deploying nearly 30 drones across multiple districts.
According to the TASS news agency on December 12, the Grayvoronsky District saw the highest concentration of attacks, with the city of Grayvoron and the settlements of Gorkovsky, Hotmyzhsk, Chapaevsky, Bezymeno, Gora-Podol, Dorogosch, Moshchenoye, Sankovo, and Spodaryushino targeted in two separate assaults involving 10 drones and 10 munitions. One drone was neutralized.
In Dorogosch, an FPV drone shattered windows of a private residence, while in Sankovo, another drone struck a passenger vehicle, breaking windows and damaging the vehicle’s body. A nearby house also suffered damage.
“In the Grayvoronsky District, the city of Grayvoron, the settlements of Gorkovsky, Hotmyzhsk, and Chapaevsky, as well as the villages of Bezymeno, Gora-Podol, Dorogosch, Moshchenoye, Sankovo, and Spodaryushino came under two attacks involving 10 munitions and 10 drones, one of which was shot down,” TASS News Agency cited the operational command.
“In the village of Dorogosch, an FPV drone attack broke the windows of a private house. In the village of Sankovo, a drone struck a passenger car, breaking the windows and damaging the body. The fence and windows of a nearby house were also damaged.”
In a day, the Ukrainian armed forces launched drone strikes on multiple settlements in Russia’s border Belgorod Region, deploying six drones and firing eight munitions, according to the regional crisis center on Telegram.
One drone was intercepted over Volokonovsky District, causing no damage.
In Belgorod District, the attacks damaged four vehicles, while debris from downed aerial targets struck a facility and four private homes in the city of Belgorod.

Ukrainian Drone Strikes Hit Multiple Russian Districts in Belgorod Region
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia launched an overnight drone offensive using 80 UAVs of various types. Of these, 64 were intercepted, while 12 successfully struck targets across eight locations, and debris from drones fell in three additional areas.
In Tver, Russia, a Ukrainian drone hit a residential building, injuring seven people, including a child, according to acting governor Vitaly Korolyov, as cited by Russian news outlets.
All injured individuals in the affected building have been evacuated and are receiving medical treatment at the hospital.
Moscow’s Defence Ministry confirmed that roughly 90 drones were shot down throughout the night, including several approaching the Russian capital.

Russia Admits Ukrainian Drone Attacks Have Killed Nearly 400 in 2025
In November, Russia acknowledged that Ukrainian drone attacks inside Russian territory have resulted in “around 392” deaths so far in 2025.
Pro-Kremlin newspaper Izvestia attributed the tally to Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s ambassador-at-large responsible for documenting alleged Ukrainian war crimes.
“From the beginning of the year to the end of October, 3,205 people were injured in drone attacks, including 195 minors. A total of 392 people were killed, 22 of them children,” Izvestia quoted Miroshnik.
Miroshnik also claimed that in the broader context of civilian casualties since the full-scale invasion, the figures for Russian civilians stood at “7,100 killed and more than 17,600 injured” since 2022.
