President William Ruto quietly jetted back from his India and Dubai trips after leaving Kenya on November 30, 2023.
Upon his arrival back to the country, President Ruto hosted 11 ambassadors and high commissioners who delivered their credentials at State House Nairobi on Thursday, December 7.
“At State House Kenya Nairobi, saw off Kenya’s new High Commissioners, Ambassadors and their Deputies as they begin executing their responsibilities at their respective stations in the world,” the President stated.
Likewise, William Ruto put an emphasis on the importance strong bilateral relations with other nations noting that it is crucial for Kenya’s development agenda.

The head of state said the government will foster strong relations with various nations to unlock untapped opportunities and broaden trade and investment prospects.

“Our progress is not an internal equation, we require friends, partners and investors to accelerate the achievement of our development goals.”
“Bilateral relations facilitate cooperation and partnership with other nations that lead to opportunities for economic and social development,” he said.
According to the head of state, having strong bilateral relations will allow the country to find new markets, increase trade and forge new bonds with other countries.
Ruto Trip from Dubai to India
Notably, Ruto left Kenya for Dubai on Thursday November 30, for the UN Climate Change Conference (COP 28) in Dubai.
Later, on December 4, he travelled to India for a two-day state visit where he held talks that led to the signing of five memoranda of understanding (MOUs) meant to strengthen the partnership between the two nations.
Additionally, President William Ruto noted that forging stronger ties with India will help advance Kenya’s Bottom-Up empowerment transformation agenda.
“Kenya and India are united by history, trade and friendship. Our partnership is focused on empowering our people to explore opportunities in either nation and leverage our strengths and resources for shared prosperity,” he said.

“We will also enhance our multilateral collaboration to further global goals on climate change, peace, and security,” he said.
Notably, the government of India gave Kenya Ksh38 Billion loan to boost agriculture.
Ruto’s India tour followed his successful address at the UN Climate Summit (COP 28) in Dubai where he advocated for Kenya and Africa’s climate agenda.
The meeting in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), is the 28th in the series and is officially called the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of Parties (COP28).
In addition to delivering a statement on behalf of the continent, the president highlighted key priorities aimed at advancing Kenya and Africa’s climate agenda.
Also, President Willam Ruto struck deals at the COP 28 summit which earned Kenya Kshs682 billion from the mega climate summit.
