Former Deputy President (DP) Rigathi Gachagua has alleged that one of President William Ruto’s children is controlling the miraa sector in Kenya.
Speaking on Saturday, June 21, Gachagua claimed that the President’s child took over the miraa business together with Health Cabinet Secretary (CS) Aden Duale.
He accused Ruto of firing leaders from the Mt.Kenya region and playing with residents of Meru County.
Gachagua alleged that the two have joined the miraa business and caused problems to famers.
“Ruto was blocking us from coming to Tigania because we would reveal the truth. Your child and Duale have infiltrated the miraa business and caused problems to our people,” Gachagua said.
He stated that there were plans to block him from touring Meru County.
Gachagua continues with his “one term’ chants against President Ruto and his regime.
He accused the area Member of Parliament (MP) Lawrence Mpuru Aburi of orchestrating plans to interfere with his Meru tour.
Gachagua Tells Ruto to Stay Out of Meru
Gachagua asked Ruto and his team to stop interfering in the affairs of Meru County.
“You are playing with people of Meru; these people are bulls. Take your fights to Nairobi, Kisumu or Sugoi, but don’t try to bring it here in Tigania,” he said.
Gachagua said he is the one who campaigned for Ruto in Meru, yet he proceeded to impeach him from office.

He also mentioned the removal of former Public Service CS Justin Muturi and his Agriculture counterpart Mithika Linturi.
He mentioned that there is a plan to remove him from the Meru County and other parts of Mt. Kenya region.
“I am at home, and I was the person who brought Ruto here. He chased me out of the government, and now he wants to send me out of my home here in Meru. Will you allow that?” Gachagua asked.

Malala Calls for Mt. Kenya Unity
DCP Deputy Party leader Cleophas Malala asked Mt. Kenya residents to rally behind Gachagua.
Malala claimed that President Ruto gave directives to stop Gachagua from visiting Meru.
“I want you to respect Gachagua, he was removed from his position as DP and disrespected. Right now, Ruto came here in Meru and gave orders that Gachagua should not tour the county. Will you allow that?” Malala asked.
President Ruto is presiding over the 10th Annual Dairy Farmers Field Day 2025 at Meru ASK Showground.
