Liza Chelule Chepkorir is a Kenyan politician who was elected as the Nakuru County Woman Representative in the National Assembly.
She was first elected as the Nakuru Woman Representative in the National Assembly in 2017 and got re-elected in 2022.
She previously served as a nominated Senator, a role she served until 2017.
Educational Background
From 1969 to 1975, Liza attended Moi Minariet High School for her East African Certificate of Education (EACE).
From 1976 to 1979, she attended Kaplong Girls Secondary School to complete her Kenya Junior Secondary Education (KJSE).
Liza attended the East Africa Chartered Institute from 2003 to 2005 to pursue a Diploma in Community Development.
In 2012, she obtained a certificate from Egerton University before joining Daystar University from 2015 to 2020, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Community Development Studies.

Pre-Parliamentary Roles
From 1982 to 1993, Liza Chelule worked at Kenya Citrus Control (KCC) as a financial advisor.
She was also the Executive Director at Gender Equity Network (GE-NET) before transitioning to be the Director at Pyrethrum Board of Kenya from 2003 to 2005.

From 2004 to 2005, Liza was a Civic Educator at the Education Centre for Women in Democracy (ECWD).
She became the Chairperson at Keringet Health Centre in 2008, a role she held until 2009.

Lisa became a nominated Senator in 2013 and was a member of the Departmental Committee on Transport, Public Works & Housing, as well as the Committee on Delegated Legislation, until 2017.
Liza Chelule served in the 12th Parliament from 2017 to 2020 as a member of the Departmental Committee on ICT, before switching to be the Vice Chairperson of the Parliamentary Broadcasting & Library Committee.
In 2022, Liza Chelule was re-elected as the Nakuru County Woman Representative and also became a member of the Parliamentary Broadcasting & Library Committee, a role she holds to date.
Her areas of keen interest include National Security, Environment, Forestry & Mining, as well as Agriculture & Livestock.
She officially joined UDA in August 2022 ahead of the general elections and was re-elected under this party ticket.
