Pastor Dorcas Gachagua, the wife of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, is set to celebrate her fifty-eighth birthday in a heartfelt and impactful way.
In a statement seen by The Kenya Times, the second lady shared her plans, expressing her profound gratitude and dedication to her community.
“As I celebrate another year of life, my heart is full of gratitude for the experiences the LORD has granted me,” she stated.
Moreover, Pastor Dorcas Gachagua has always held her roots close to her heart, being born in the village of Ndunyu ya Chege, Gatanga Constituency in Murang’a County.
She reminisced her childhood years in Ndunyu ya Chege, emphasizing her deep connection with the local people.
Free Medical Camp
To celebrate her big day, Pastor Dorcas noted that she will offer a free medical camp as a gesture of love for the people in her village.
“It is my joy to celebrate this birthday by offering a free medical camp, as a gesture of love and compassion for the place and people that hold my dearest memories,” she added.

The DP stated lauded the second lady for being his pillar of strength and for the role she plays in their family.

Dorcas Gachagua’s Drive for Boychild Empowerment
The second lady has been widely recognized for her role as a ‘boy child empowerment’ advocate, consistently championing initiatives to uplift young men.
Last week, she commissioned the groundbreaking ceremony for a rehabilitation center in Rumuruti, Laikipia County, which aims to transform countless lives.
Moreover, this facility encompasses a rehabilitation center, prayer center, detention center, sports academy, health center, cerebral palsy and autism physiotherapy center, and sports academy.
“The center shall be a beacon of hope and a place where God will serve justice to His people, ” she said.
Notably, dignitaries present at this significant event included Laikipia governor Joshua Irungu, his wife Grace Wangari, and deputy governor Reuben Kamuri.
Awards and Recognition
Adding to her accolades, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi was honored during the Africa Public Sector and Conference Awards (APSCA) 2023 in Nairobi, September 2023.
Mrs. Gachagua received the ‘Outstanding Catalyst in Vulnerable Empowerment Award’ for her tireless efforts in supporting the boy child, widows, orphans, and individuals with disabilities in Kenya.
