Further the DP divulged that a third brother identified as Reriani Gachagua was an alcoholic who never listened to him.
He said that his efforts of taking the brother to rehabilitation and even trying to live with him in his house were futile as he eventually succumbed to alcoholism.
“When I became deputy president in 2022, I was so happy that I gave him money to go and celebrate. He went into alcohol. He died,” DP Gachagua added.
The DP confessed that the loss of his siblings to alcoholism had made him a very lonely man in his father’s compound surrounded by graves brought about by alcohol.
While praising his spouse Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, the DP said he also had taken to alcohol consumption until she talked him out of it.
