A man jumped from the 5th floor of a storey building in Nairobi Central Business District (CBD).
The incident happened at Nature Building, next to Picasso Restaurant on Tom Mboya Street on the morning of Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
The unidentified man threw himself from the 5th floor and fell on first floor balcony.
Police officers are currently at the scene to establish the identity and motive.
It was not immediately established whether he was staff, guest or intruder.
The body is still at the balcony of the scene.
In the footage seen by The Kenya Times, a crowd gathers beside the road to view the body of the deceased.
The man is seen standing on the balcony of the first floor.
The body rests on the balcony’s glass and is clearly visible from outside since the glass is transparent.
Nature Building Businesses & Location
Nature House hosts Picasso Restaurant on the ground floor and Steakhouse Restaurant on an upper floor.
It is located next to the building that houses Umoja Shop and Intraglobal Training Institute, and it is directly opposite Agrho House in Nairobi CBD.
It is just a few minutes’ walk from the popular Afya Centre building within the CBD.
There was slight traffic disruption as the crowd blocked a section of the road next to the building while viewing the body.
In a video, a matatu is seen trying to drive through the gathered crowd.

Similar Incident
The incident comes after Sedgwick insurance brokers the Chief Executive Officer of (CEO) Sammy Methu Kiragu died under almost similar circumstances on the afternoon of, Tuesday March 11.
Kiragu died after reportedly jumping from the seventh floor of his office at the 4th Avenue Towers on Fourth Ngong Avenue in Nairobi.

According to witnesses, he took a lift to the 7th floor and jumped since their offices are on the 14th floor since their offices are located on the 4th floor.
He died on the spot and police are conducting investigations to establish the motive.
Police arrived at the scene, processed the body before moving it to the mortuary pending autopsy.
