United Democratic Alliance (UDA) nominated Ward Representative Ezra Kabuga Kihara has died.
The politician tragically passed away on Sunday, September 22, in a road accident along Thika Road in Juja area.
According to preliminary reports, the politician was on his way to Thika Town from Nairobi.
Further, according to witnesses, his car, a Subaru Forester, collided with a lorry at around 5:30 am and immediately went up in flames.
His demise has been confirmed by Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi who has eulogized him, noting that the accident took place near Mangu High School.
His body was moved to Montezuma Funeral Home, awaiting postmodern, while both vehicles were towed to a local police station for inspection.

Governor Wamatangi Mourns the UDA MCA
Governor Wamatangi eulogized the politician as a promising young leader with a passion for service.
“It was with a deep sense of loss that I received the sad news of the death of nominated Member of County Assembly Ezra Kabuga Kihara.
“Kabuga was a vibrant and promising young leader, whose commitment and passion for serving the people of Kiambu was evident in every aspect of his work,” he stated.
Additionally, he said that the MCA was friendly and kind and was always driven to improve the lives of those around him.
“It is heartbreaking to lose such a young, dedicated legislator with so much promise for the future. During this difficult time, I stand with the family in grief and prayer.
“May God grant you strength and comfort as you navigate through this immense loss,” he added.
Also, he has sent his sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the family of the politician.
Speaker of the Senate Amason Jeffah Kingi has also sent his condolence to the family, adding that he was a promising young leader.
“I send my sincere condolences to the family of Hon Ezra Kabuga Kihara, Member of the County Assembly of Kiambu and a promising young leader, who lost his life in a car crash earlier today.”

NTSA Accident Statistics
According to the latest data from the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), road accidents across the country have claimed at least 3,056 lives between January 1 and August 27, 2024.
This is an increase of 146 deaths compared to the 2,910 recorded in the same period in 2023.
Since the beginning of the year, 7,114 Kenyans have been involved in road accidents, marking an increase of 703 compared to last year, 3674 were seriously injured and 585 suffered from minor injuries.
Pedestrians have recorded the highest number of deaths in road accidents since the start of the year, according to the Authority.
