Airtel Money and Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) have announced a strategic partnership to enhance payment solutions for small businesses across Kenya.
The collaboration enables Airtel Money customers to make payments directly to DTB Till Moja merchants and deposit funds into DTB accounts via their mobile phones, eliminating the need to visit bank branches or payment outlets.
In a statement shared on December 4, 2025, both companies confirmed that the partnership is designed to improve financial accessibility and support the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by providing faster, more straightforward, and more secure transaction options.
Airtel, DTB Seamless Payments for Small Businesses
Customers using Airtel Money for Paybill payments to DTB Till Moja merchants will also benefit from a 50% guaranteed cashback in airtime, further enhancing the affordability of everyday financial transactions.
“At Airtel Money, we are committed to facilitating the seamless flow of money across Kenya’s financial ecosystem. While customers have previously been able to send funds to DTB accounts, this new feature now extends that convenience to DTB Till Moja merchants, creating even more value for our customers and for small businesses,” Anne Kinuthia-Otieno, Managing Director of Airtel Money Kenya, said.
The partnership also targets underserved areas where access to formal banking services is limited.
Additionally, the initiative aims to empower small businesses to operate more efficiently while expanding the reach of digital financial services across Kenya.
“By removing barriers to financial inclusion and making it easier for everyone to access financial services, we are making transactions faster, simpler, and safer. This enhances convenience and supports the growth of a more inclusive digital economy where every customer and small business owner can transact seamlessly, affordably, and securely,” Kinuthia-Otieno added.
Flexible Banking Options for Customers
According to the statement, customers can deposit into any DTB account or pay DTB Till Moja merchants directly via the Airtel Money app or by dialling *334#.
