Sir Richard Branson, billionaire and founder of the Virgin Group announced the groundbreaking of a new luxurious Safari Camp in Kenya by Finch Hattons, an addition to the company’s collection of unique retreats.
The Safari Camp in set to become Virgin Limited Edition’s ninth property on July 1, 2024, and will be located in a vast land in Tsavo National Park.
While making the announcement, Sir Richard Branson expressed his excitement for the project explaining that Africa was one of his favorite parts of the world because of its rich heritage and culture.
“Africa is one of my favorite parts of the world. Each cornerstone offers something entirely unique, surrounded by rich heritage and culture. I’m delighted Finch Hattons and all of the incredible wildlife in the Tsavo National Park will join our Virgin family and I can’t wait to visit soon,” he said.

Features of the Luxurious Camp and Prices
The camp will feature 17 luxury tented suites offering guests impeccable views of the Shetani lava flow, the Tsavo and the breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Guests will also enjoy a first-class experience at the establishment which will be nestled within pristine wilderness and natural springs in 35 acres of untouched beauty.
Additionally, the management of the establishment boasts of upholding family values, a deep-rooted connection to community and sustainability while offering an incredible luxury safari experience.

Rates will start from Ksh103,878 ($796) per person per night, including accommodation, all meals and drinks. The amount is also inclusive of all scheduled activities including game drives, excursion to Shetani lava flow, Oldonyo Larami volcano hike, yoga, nature walks and return airstrip transfers.
At the same time, Gehlot described the camp as special adding that it will boost their global brand.

Finch Hattons Luxury Safari Camp is set to join the company’s esteemed collection as its ninth property and the fifth in Africa.
It will complement the company’s existing world-class properties across the continent, including Mahali Mzuri, Ulusaba Private Game Reserve, Mont Rochelle Hotel and Vineyard, and the renowned Kasbah Tamadot.
Furthermore, Finch Hattons will play a significant role within the broader Virgin Hotels Collection, which includes Virgin Hotels and Virgin Limited Edition, formed in 2023.
