Former nominated senator and influential political figure, Millicent Omanga, has shared a glimpse of her husband on social media.
Omanga has shared a photo of her walking in front of the husband, smiling.
In a Facebook post, Omanga has clarified that her husband is a doctor and that people should now stop asking her if she is single.
“Behind every successful woman kuna mwanaume…na wangu ni Daktari Sasa DM za ‘uko single?’ na ‘ulifanikiwa aje?’ zipungue kidogo,” the post read.
The post has sparked reactions from Kenyans questioning who the husband in question really is.

Who Is Millicent Omanga’s Husband?
Francis Nyamiobo is a medical doctor and researcher with a career rooted in public health.
He attended the University of Nairobi, where he met with Millicent Omanga while she was pursuing a degree in Journalism.

After qualifying as a medical doctor, Nyamiobo specialized in research, particularly in public health.
One of his notable engagements was with the National Aids Control Council (NACC), where he served as a program officer in 2009.
He worked on a research project focusing on men’s health in Kenya, contributing to the understanding of public health dynamics in Kenya.
Beyond his program officer role, Nyamiobo has co‑authored scientific work that has appeared in respected journals.
He was also part of a research team behind a publication titled “Association of sex work with reduced activation of the mucosal immune system”, which examined aspects of mucosal immunity and HIV transmission risks.
Omanga and Francis Nyamiobo Family Life
Millicent Omanga, an aspiring Nairobi Woman Representative in the 2027 elections, was born in 1982 in Kiamokama, Kisii County, in a family of seven daughters.
She grew up as the eldest of her siblings, and her family faced challenges after her father’s death. Her father, a mechanic, died in a road accident when she was 17, a tragedy that left her mother solely responsible for raising the family.
Nyamiobo and Millicent Omanga have been married for over a decade. The two have been blessed with two children, a son named Wayne and a daughter named Maya.
Omanga has publicly acknowledged her husband’s support multiple times, crediting him for being a steady presence throughout her political ups and downs.
In a 2017 social media post, she described him as “the pillar behind her political strength” and emphasizing the importance of family in her life.
“Today I celebrate My Husband Dr. Francis Nyamiobo, The pillar behind my political strength. I Am so grateful for him. Tumetoka Mbali. FAMILY IS EVERYTHING,”the post read.

Omanga’s Bid for 2027 Elections
The former nominated senator has formally announced her intention to contest for the Nairobi County Woman Representative seat in the 2027 general election under the DCP Ticket.
Omanga confirmed her bid after leaving the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and joining with the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP), led by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
In a statement to supporters, she acknowledged the significant backing she received during the 2022 election, citing thousands of votes she garnered in Nairobi, and expressed confidence in her prospects ahead of the 2027 polls.
“I am so impressed with the community from Mt Kenya because you gave me 600, 000 votes in Nairobi in 2022. I want to say thank you. just fell short by a small number, but this time around, in 2027, I will still be contesting for the seat,” said Omanga.
