Six major residential developments are planned across Nairobi, covering Kileleshwa, Westlands, Ngong Road, Dennis Pritt Road and Lang’ata, according to a Gazette Notice.
The projects include a 23-storey tower with 616 apartments on Githunguri Road in Kileleshwa and a 21-storey residential tower on Gichugu Road, also in Kileleshwa.
Other proposed developments include an 18-storey residential complex with 601 units along Kabarnet Road, off Ngong Road in Kibra, and a 19-storey tower with 152 apartments along Westlands Avenue.
Additional high-rise projects are planned along Dennis Pritt Road in Kilimani and in Lang’ata, adding to the proposed residential developments across the city.
Kileleshwa Towers
In Kileleshwa, Nairobi, Arbor Edge Ventures Company Limited proposes a 23-storey residential block with 616 apartments along Githunguri Road.
The development would include five basement parking levels, shops, a gym, a swimming pool, a children’s play area, and other amenities.
“The proponent, Arbor Edge Ventures Company Limited, proposes to construct a 23 storey residential block,” the gazette notice read in part.
Also in Kileleshwa, Sonder Space Development Limited proposes a 21-storey residential block with 212 apartments along Gichugu Road.
The project includes two basement levels, parking, a swimming pool, a gym, a sauna, a coffee house, and other social amenities.
Other New Nairobi Highrise Buildings
In Westlands, Nairobi, Nanchong Longines Island Limited proposes a 19-storey residential block with 152 apartments along Westlands Avenue. The development would include parking, a restaurant, a coffee shop, a gym, a swimming pool, laundry facilities, and a children’s play area.

“The proponent, Nanchong Longines Island Limited, will construct a 19-storey residential block.”
Off Ngong Road, Nanchong Longines Bay Limited proposes three 18-storey residential blocks with 601 apartments along Kabarnet Road. The project would include parking, shops, a swimming pool, a gym, a restaurant and other facilities.
On Dennis Pritt Road in Kilimani, Nairobi, Harrington Estates Limited proposes a 16-storey residential and commercial development with 550 housing units. The project would also include 21 offices, 10 shops, parking, a gymnasium and restaurant.
In Lang’ata, Karam Logistics Limited proposes a 12-storey residential block with 144 units in the Mugumoini area. The development would include 83 parking bays and associated facilities.
Mega Hostels and Industrial Infrastructure in Nairobi Neighborhoods
In a separate notice, Gazette Notice No. 14609, Alvine Brooks Limited proposed the construction and operation of a 12-story student hostel with capacity for 813 students in Thika, Kiambu County.

“The proponent, Alvine Brooks Limited, proposes to construct and operate a modern 12-story student hostel with a basement level, ground floor, upper floors comprising of (Retail space, Health facilities, Administration Office, Residential units to accommodate 813 No. student beds, 8No. common rooms, 5No. study halls), parking area, gymnasium, indoor leisure area, associated facilities and amenities on plot L.R. No. 4953/2149 in Thika, Thika sub-County, Kiambu County,” the notice read.
The proposed facility on L.R. No. 4953/2149 would include retail space, health facilities, administrative offices, eight common rooms, five study halls, parking, a gymnasium and indoor leisure facilities.
In another separate notice, National Cement Company Limited proposed a 60MW wind energy farm comprising 38 wind turbine generators in Kajiado County.
The project would include a 33/220 kV step-up substation, turbine platforms and foundations, internal access roads, electrical cabling, a 220 kV transmission line and wayleave, and construction support areas and temporary storage yards.
