The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) has opened applications for the Tourism Training Revolving Fund.
In a statement on March 11, 2025, HELB listed 209 Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions that have been approved for funding.

“Applications are now open for the Tourism Training Revolving Fund; get financing at just 4% interest with a 48-month repayment plan,” the statement read.
The funding is open to all students pursuing courses in the tourism and hospitality sector.

How to Apply
Applicants should first register with HELB to access the student portal.

On the student portal click “register” to create a new account by using a personal mobile number and national ID number that are both registered in your name.
After creating your account, verify it through the activation link sent to either your email’s Inbox or Spam/Junk folder.
The next step is to log into the portal and complete your profile under “My Profile”.
To apply for funding, navigate to the HELB menu, and under the Loan Application Tab, select the Tourism Training Revolving Fund Application.
In addition, review and consent to the personal data collection as outlined in the consent form, accepting the loan terms and conditions.

HELB Issues Further Instructions
Applicants should click submit after filling and completing the required information on the application form.
Candidates are advised to take note that the application process is paperless, and there is no need to print or submit a physical copy.
A PDF version of the application will be sent to the email address they have provided.
Students can track their application status through the HELB portal and only qualified applicants will receive notifications on the disbursement of the loan.
