The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has advertised 39 vacancies in different designations.
In an advert on Tuesday, October 22, KNEC announced that the jobs opportunities are for various Grades and in 14 different positions.
“KNEC invites competent, self-motivated and qualified applicants for the following vacant positions,” the advert reads in part.
The Council has announced one vacancy for the positions of Deputy Director, Planning and Strategy and Deputy Director, Internal Audit for KNEC Grade 3.
KNEC has also advertised one job opportunity for the positions of Assistant Director, Planning and Strategy, Assistant Director, TD Schools Assessment (Languages) and Assistant Director, TD Schools Assessment (Mathematics and Science) for KNEC Grade 4.
“KNEC Grade 3 positions are on 5-year contract terms of service and renewal is subject to performance,” the advert added.
Additionally, the Council advertised five vacancies for the position of Principal Examinations Officer and one opening for a Principal Human Resource Management Officer for Grade 5.

KNEC Grade 7 has nine vacancies available: six for the position of Examinations Administrator and three for Research and Quality Assurance Officer.
There are 17 vacancies available under KNEC Grade 9 for various posts as follows: Supply Chain Management Assistant (3), Assistant Office Administrator (2), Human Resource Management Assistant (2) and Examinations Assistant (10).
Besides, there are two vacancies for the position of Driver under KNEC Grade 11.
“The Council will offer a competitive remuneration package commensurate with responsibilities of the position,” reads another part of the advert.

KNEC Application Procedure
Interested and suitably qualified candidates should fill and submit the Application for Employment KNEC 2A-(for External applicants) and Application for Employment Form KNEC 2B (for Internal applicants) and application letter, accompanied by certified copies of academic and professional certificates, detailed curriculum vitae giving details of daytime telephone contact, e-mail address, current remuneration (enclose copy of your latest pay slip), names and valid current contacts of three referees, on or before 5 November, 2024 to the address: The Chief Executive Officer Kenya National Examinations Council New Mitihani House, South C P.O Box 73598-00200 Nairobi.
KNEC explained that it will only contact the shortlisted candidates, and canvassing will result in automatic disqualification.
Successful applicants offered employment will be required to submit clearance under Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
