The University operates four campuses, the Lang’ata Campus, Nairobi Town Campus, Meru Campus, and Mombasa Campus.

It admitted its first cohort of 351 students in September 2012, who were enrolled in two undergraduate programs, Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Co-operative Management.
Since then, the University has remained focused on delivering quality training in co-operative management, law, accountancy, and co-operative banking at certificate, diploma, and degree levels.

Admission Requirements for Courses
To be admitted for a Bachelor of Co-operative Business (BCOB), Bachelor of Co-operatives and Community Development (BCCD), Bachelor of Science in Disaster Risk Management & Sustainable Development (BDM) and Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM), students require the following qualifications.
Entry Requirements:
KCSE aggregate grade “C+” with at least a “C” in Mathematics and English, OR A recognized diploma from any institution approved by the University Senate.
Duration: 8 semesters for KCSE certificate holders and 6 semesters for diploma holders
Diploma
Diploma Programs take 3 semesters unless stated otherwise.
For a Diploma in Business Administration, Business Information Technology, Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship, Microfinance, Project Management, Public Relations, Purchasing & Supplies Management, Marketing, Information Technology and Leadership and Management, students require the following.
Entry Requirements:
KCSE aggregate grade “C–” OR Any other qualification accepted by the University College Academic Board.
Diploma Programs (4 semesters)
These include Catering & Hotel Management, Co-operative Management and Community Development and Social Work. Students require the following.
