Brookhouse International is one of East Africa’s leading private school networks, established with a vision to provide high-quality international education to students in Kenya.
Over the years, Brookhouse has expanded its operations to include multiple campuses in Nairobi, offering education from the early years through A-Level, as well as specialised programs such as BTEC and International Foundation Year (IFY).
Founders and Owners
Initially owned solely by the Mehta family, it underwent a significant equity buyout in 2010, with AfricInvest acquiring a 30% stake alongside other investors.
In 2015, the school was sold to UK-based Educas for Ksh 3.6 billion.
Today, Brookhouse is owned by Educas, a UK-based private equity fund, and is part of the Inspired Education Group.
Brookhouse Group of Schools was founded by the Mehta family in 1981 in Nairobi, Kenya.
