The County Government of Nandi has announced 245 jobs in its health and administration departments on permanent and pensionable terms.
In an advert on Friday, October 4, the County Public Service Board asked interested individuals to apply by October 25, 2024, 5.00 pm.
Accordingly, applications should include a detailed curricula vita, copies of academic certificates, testimonials, and national identity card to the Nandi County Public Service Board.
Applications should be addressed to the Secretary/Chief Executive Officer, Nandi County Public Service Board, P.O. Box 802-30300, Kapsabet with the position one is applying for clearly indicated on the envelope.
Jobs in Nandi County’s Department of Health
Of the 245 advertised vacancies, 234 are in the county’s department of health covering various professions including nursing, pharmaceutical technologists, clinical officers, radiographers, and ambulance drivers.
The county seeks to fill 68 positions in the medical laboratory technologies III title job group H, 50 registered nurse III/enrolled nurse II job group H, 27 pharmaceutical technologist III job group H, 24 ambulance drivers, and 30 registered clinical officers II job group J.
The county is also hiring one senior registered clinical officer cardiologist and one senior registered clinical officer pediatrician, who are in job group L.
Additionally, there are vacancies for two clinical 1 officer in job group K, six medical laboratory technicians III job group G, four senior nursing officer/senior registered nurse/ senior enrolled nurse 1/specialists in job group L, and eight nursing officer/registered nurse 1/senior enrolled nurse II in job group K.
There are also opportunities for six enrolled nurse III in job group G, one sonographer in job group K, four radiographer II in job group H, and two radiographer II job group J.

Jobs in the Administration Department
The county is also seeking fill several positions in its administrative department including firemen and disaster management officers.
In addition, the devolved unit needs four fireman II in job group H, four Fireman III in job group G, two disaster management officers in job group K, and one assistant director for disaster management in job group p

This comes after Nandi County fired over 1,500 ghost workers in September 2024.
It was alleged that county executive and other senior officials colluded with officers in charge of payroll and the public service board to employ relatives.
