A burial funds drive for the late Brian Chira has hit over Ksh5 million within 48 hours since content creators launched the initiative through TikTok live.
Popular Tiktoker Baba Talisha spearheaded the fundraiser.
He has been a frontrunner for the funeral organization since Chira died following an accident.
Speaking to The Kenya Times, Baba Talisha confirmed that they had collected substantial amount of cash through the deceased’s pay bill account.
Acting as a liaison between the online community and Chira’s supporters, the Tiktoker revealed that they had raise over Ks5 million that will be used for burial and also support the deceased’s grandmother.
“We have so far raised more than Ksh5 million that has been channeled towards his burial and a fraction of it will be used to buy his grandmother a piece of land,” he revealed.
Brian Chira Death
The famous Tiktoker died on March 16, 2024.
According to reports, he died in a hit and run road accident at around 3 am.

According to Police reports, the accident occurred on the Ndenderu-Ruaka Road in Kiambu county.
The 28-year-old Tiktoker was being taken home by his friend on a motorbike when the tragedy happened.
The friend bumped into Chira outside a club in the area after he had been thrown out by security guards for allegedly causing chaos at the entertainment joint.
Witness recounted how the late was heavily drunk by then. At that time, the management was planning to close the club and the deceased was alone.
His friend then offered to carry him to his house.
Witness Recounts Moments Before The Tiktoker Died
“I arrived and found Brian Chira being ejected from the club because they were closing. Seeing him in that state, I knew it was Brian,” revealed his friend.
“He was on the ground clearly intoxicated. He asked for my help. I agreed and he got on the bike behind me,”

Upon reaching the Gacharage area, Chira jumped off from the bike and ran to the main road where he was hit by the oncoming vehicle, leaving him with serious injuries on his head.
His body was taken to City mortuary by police, but it was later transferred to Kenyatta University funeral home.
Meanwhile, Brian Chira is set to be buried on March 26 at his grandmother’s home in Githunguri, Kiambu county.
According to his grandmother’s wish, the late Chira will be buried in a graduation gown.
