Dennis Itumbi’s Twitter Account, Boasting 2.1 Million Followers, Hacked

Social media strategist and former journalist Dennis Itumbi is fighting to regain control of his Twitter account after hackers took over. He suspects the hackers may have been associated with cryptocurrency, a digital asset he invested in.

President William Ruto has nominated Itumbi for Cabinet Administrative Secretary in the Ministry of ICT and Digital Economy. He recently revealed that his Twitter account had been hacked through a Facebook post. He also disclosed that the hackers might be connected to cryptocurrency, an asset he invested in.

Itumbi admitted that he is well invested in Bitcoin, a popular digital currency that has seen a surge in value in recent years. He revealed that he owns a few Bitcoins that he purchased when they were selling at 60k. Bitcoin’s current price is just over Ksh3.5 million, so his investment could be worth tens of millions.

Despite the risks associated with investing in cryptocurrency, Itumbi seems unfazed by the hackers and some negative publicity surrounding digital assets. He advises others not to shy away from cryptocurrency, noting that promising coins can be researched and purchased cheaply.

Many people consider Bitcoin and other digital assets a worthwhile investment due to their potential for growth and long-term value. However, investing in cryptocurrency also involves risks, including market volatility, hacking, and fraud. Doing thorough research and investing only in what you are comfortable with is important.

Itumbi remains optimistic that he will reclaim his Twitter account, noting that the hackers had unsuccessfully attempted to take over his email, Instagram, and Facebook accounts. He stated that he had regained control of these accounts before the hackers could do any damage.

Itumbi sees the hacking as a brutal reminder of the importance of cyber security. He urges everyone to take cyber security seriously and to take measures to protect their digital assets.
