Comedian Eric Omondi has built a house for a woman who was featured on national television being beaten up for stealing a packet of wheat flour.
Taking to his Instagram account, Eric showcased the house whose construction is ongoing as well as furniture donated by a well-wisher.
“Just last week this woman was shamefully paraded and beaten and cast out but today she owns land and a house. I call it “The House on the Hill” because it signifies her lifting,” stated Omondi.
More contribution needed
Faith Kathambi, who hails from Kisii County was dragged out of her house and battered by a group of men. She has been living in abject poverty with her three children.
Eric has been calling upon members of the public to make contributions through his movement ‘Team Sisi Kwa Sisi’. The contributions went into buying land in Nairobi and building a house that is almost complete.

He stated that the house still needs roofing and finishing urging well-wishers to chip in.
“We bought Land in Nairobi in a beautiful space, The house is done and all that remains is the roofing and a few finishes. I want to call upon ‘Team Sisi Kwa Sisi’ to keep sending whatever you can to her number,” added the comedian.
The comedian cum philanthropist also talked about plans to put up a business for Faith so that she can support herself and her young family.

He also called upon anyone who would like to donate household items to reach out to Faith or him.
Fans have lauded Eric for his generosity and kindness while pledging their support to the course.

Eric has been taking the initiative for the less fortunate through his slogan ‘Team Sisi Kwa Sisi’. At the beginning of January 2025, he put together resources and built a classroom at a school in Turkana Count. He also donated uniforms and stationery.
