Flaqo Reveals How a Company Swindled Him and Shut Down Operations in Kenya

Content creator Flaqo has exposed a digital marketing company for swindling him money before moving from their physical address.

Taking to his Instagram stories, Flaqo revealed that the digital marketing agency, Aifluence, was tasked with contracting content creators him included to market the Oppo Reno 12 for Oppo Kenya.

Five months later, Flaqo states that he as well as other content creators are yet to receive their money. He added that the team of content creators deployed lawyers who discovered the agency seemingly shut down operations in Kenya.

Oppo Kenya distances itself from the matter

“For us as a team to have deployed lawyers and discover that Aifluence already moved from their physical address and may no longer have offices is absolute negligence on Oppo’s part,” stated Flaqo.

According to the content creator, the mobile company has distanced itself from the matter and has shifted its blame to the advertising agency  Aifluence.

“For Oppo as a brand to distance themselves from this stating that they paid Aifluence and it now has nothing to do with them when the content was to influence our audiences to consider your brand is appalling,” stated the creator.

Flaqo, while calling out Oppo Kenya for negligence accused them of not conducting their due diligence before contracting the digital marketing agency.

Flaqo calls out Oppo and Aifluence

“Oppo had and still has a responsibility to hire a trustworthy and competent advertising agency,” stated Flaqo.

He stated that he created content that promoted and popularised the phone with three months’ worth of content in just two weeks, because of the pressure he received from both Oppo Kenya and Aiflunce.

He expressed his utter disappointment in the manner in which both companies have handled the issue.

“How you both have handled the influencer team that willingly attended your August 2024 AI event and gladly popularised the Oppo Reno 12 is absolutely disappointing and downright shameful. Pay us, each and every creator contracted to partner,” he added.
