Renowned singer and businessman Karuga Kimani popularly referred to as Krg the Don has vowed to use up to Kshs 1 million to recover his lost phone.
In a post on his Instagram account, the musician said he will engage the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) officers to recover the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
“I will use up to Kshs 1M to recover iPhone 14. Kesho ntarauka 5am looking for you with DCI kama ni harusi tunaenda (as though we are attending a wedding),” Krg said.
The singer further recounted how his phone was snatched and vowed to find the perpetrators.
“Kuna mtu wa nduthi ameamua leo nitalala mteja (There’s a bike guy who decided that I’ll be unavailable on phone today my advice to you is run and hide because I will find you and it’s going to be very bad,” said Krg.

Krg also shared details of his phone including the model (iPhone 14 Pro Max), version (iOS 17.4.1), Serial number (J261MX42F3) and IMEI number 35 342568 949311 4.
Moreover, the musician revealed that the phone had valuable content that he couldn’t afford to lose, a revelation which explains why he is willing to spend up to Ksh 1 million to get it back.

“Yani ukijua ile value ya hiyo simu na content yake (If you knew the value of that phone and the content inside), you can’t afford to sleep with it,” he remarked.
Additionally, Krg said losing the phone has disrupted his businesses.
“I can’t allow my businesses to be disrupted because of a thief,” he said.
He revealed that he had traced the phone to Mwiki, Kasarani area of Nairobi noting that he will ensure the thief serves as an example to the rest.
“Mwiki sio mbali kwa serikali (Mwiki is not far for the police), we shall catch you like chicken just know your days are numbered. In our neighborhood, this won’t go on. You must serve as an example,” he warned.

Karuga is a man who wears many hats. He is a singer and a businessman.
The father of 3 majors in dancehall music and has had collaborations with various artistes including famous Jamaican dancehall artiste Garfield Delano Spence alias Konshens.
Some of the businesses he owns include Casa Vera lounge, which is nightclub in the upscale neighborhood of Kilimani, along Ngong road.

However, the musician announced the closure of the entertainment joint earlier this year saying the entertainment business in Nairobi is challenging.
He further stated that there are not as many alcohol consumers visiting the club except for people who move from one club to the other.
