Good news for Genge music fans as veteran Mejja announces a comeback from his short medical break.
The veteran artist had asked his fans for prayers after his doctor advised him to take a break from music due to throat issues. He opened up to Willy M Tuva about his condition and said how hard it is on his psychological well-being.
“Waniombee yaani kwanza. Kwababu inaniaffect psychologically. Unajua mziki ndio kila kitu. So mara leo nikona sauti, kesho siezi ongea inanisumbua sana kwa sababu siezi taka ati hivyo ndio niliwacha muziki.”
He admitted experiencing discomfort for some time but ignored the symptoms until he noticed unusual bloody spots in his sputum while brushing his teeth.
“At the commencement of the year, I began realizing that I was continuously starting to feel discomfort in my throat, and I immediately discovered blood in my respiratory secretions, so I eventually went to see a professional Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) doctor.”

The “Nairobi” hitmaker hinted at his return through an Instagram caption, where he posted a photo of himself. In the caption, the celebrated artist talks about the lessons he’s learned during his healing process, patience, and knowing one’s loyal friends.

The singer announced his return to the much-elated fans in a separate post. Adding that his doctor advised him to take it slow.
