Renowned Kenyan journalist Larry Madowo is set to make a comeback at NTV’s popular show, The Trend, after nearly seven years since his exit.
Madowo will on Friday June 7, appear on the show as a guest in honour of the late media personality Njambi Koikai
NTV in a statement announced that Madowo will be appearing alongside three other special guests to honour Jahmby in a special way
“Tonight, we are doing the show in a special way. Tune in at 8pm as we take you back to where it all started. The Top Trending Talkers are celebrating Jahmby in a special way,” announced the station.
The other guests that will feature in the entertainment show include digital creator, Ciru Muriuki, media personality Jeff Mote and comedian Eddie Butita.
Madowo further revealed other personalities that will feature in the episode such as radio host Cindy Ogana and TV host Anita Nderu who will be joining the group on the 8pm show.
Madowo and Ciru Mourn Njambi
The CNN correspondent was among notable figures who publicly mourned the reggae queen following her death on Tuesday, June 4.

He shared a video on social media reminiscing his last moments with Jahmby wishing that he would have embraced her.
“Njambi, Fyah Mummah, Empress, Jaber! If I knew this was the last time I would see you, I would have hugged you a little longer, told you again how much I loved you. Nobody lived as fully as you did, loved as deeply or fought as hard. Rest well, my friend. Koma thaayū (rest easy),” he said.

Ciru, on her part, expressed shock following her death and thanked her for her friendship.
“We’re all still trying to process this. Thank you for your years of friendship. Thank you for your fire. You fought so hard my Empress. So hard. Rest now @jahmbykoikai. You are loved eternally,” Ciru wrote.
Madowo at The Trend
Larry started The Trend show in December 2012 before exiting the show in 2017.
The two-hour long show aired on Fridays and focused on trending and current entertainment topics while also featuring key figures in the entertainment industry.
Madowo later on joined British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in 2018 as a North America news Correspondent.
However, he later left BBC and joined Cable News Network (CNN) as an International Correspondent and host of African Voices Changemakers.
