The brother to Willis Ayieko, who until his death was working as a Senior Human Resource Manager at Wells Fargo, has revealed fresh details into what is turning out to be a gruesome encounter that led to his death.
Willis Aiyeko’s body was found handcuffed and abandoned near a stream in Nyamninia Sub-location within Gem, Siaya County.
The deceased’s brother Aggrey Oduor opened up on how they found Ayieko’s body whose tragic fate was confirmed on Wednesday, October 23, five days after he went missing.
With more questions than answers on the late Wells Fargo manager’s death, his brother shed some light on what they witnessed when they identified his body which had been dumped near a stream.
Ayieko’s brother further refuted reports that the murder was a case of a robbery, adding that the deceased’s body was severely mutilated, pointing to a possible vendetta against the Human Resource Manager.
“We went with my brothers to look for him. We wanted to see the last place where the vehicle was stopped,” he said, adding that Ayieko did not have most of his clothes.
“He was cut. Eyes were gorged out, ears were cut, the nose was cut, the mouth was cut. Why die such a painful death?” Aggrey explained.
The deceased’s brother also revealed that the nature of the crime was gruesome.

In addition, the brother called for a speedy investigation into the matter by the relevant authorities.
Events Preceding the Death of Ayieko
According to reports Ayieko went missing on Friday, October 18, and was found dead five days after being reported as missing.

The bereaved family said that he went missing after attending a burial in the North Gem area before he travelled back to his home located in Kakamega.
His family further reported that Ayieko was expected to attend a family event the following day. Failure to attend raised the alarm and the matter escalated the moment they realized he was out of contact for a long period.

Two Men Spotted Dumping Ayieko’s Car
Media reports on October 23, revealed that two men were captured on CCTV footage parking a car that belonged to Ayieko.
The vehicle, an orange Ford Ranger Double-cabin pickup, was found at a petrol station in Vihiga County, which is several kilometres from where his body was discovered.
“This discovery is crucial for our investigation,” said Gem Sub-County police commander Charles Wafula.
“We are working closely with the DCI to find the culprits, and we are following leads that could soon help us establish the motive behind the murder,” the media report further indicated.
