Mike died a hero while attempting to save his drowning friends.
His relative, Joyce Ndirangu, described him as a good child who was ready to help everyone.
“Mike was a good child, and we even don’t even know what to say. He used to do his chores and as you have heard, he was going to help the other two. His love was abundant, and he never failed to help other people,” Joyce said.

Nakuru Leaders Plea to Residents
Local leaders who consoled the families have appealed to parents to be cautious and ensure their children do not access such dangerous places to avert such accidents.
Lare MCA Philip Wanjohi urged parents not to allow minors leave homes without an adult in charge especially when they go fishing.
“We are just asking the parents to ensure that their children do not go fishing alone. They should go with an adult or somebody who knows where to go since we don’t want such an incident to happen again,” Wanjohi said.
Muthiga Assistant Police Moses Muniu said the stream cannot be blocked because it flows to the Nakuru National Park.
“I just want to ask the locals to be careful from now because the river has proved to be dangerous,” Muniu stated.
The bodies of the three boys were taken to Egerton University mortuary awaiting a postmortem.
