In a statement on Thursday, November 16, State House noted that the officers had been implicated in various corruption cases and procurement irregularities.
Among the CEOs lined up for suspension is the CEO of the Tanathi Water Works Development Agency Fredrick Mwamati who was under investigation for procurement irregularities in the award of a tender for the construction of a Leather Industrial Park Water Supply Project.

Koskei noted that the further stay of the CEOs in office would lead to interference in the various investigations.

Felix Koskei tasked to clean up public service
The Head of Public Service emphasized that the Government would remain firm in its commitment to eradicating corruption.
The CEOs were the latest to taste suspension after an earlier move by the state to suspend Athi Water Works Michael Thuita and his Central Rift Valley Water Works Development counterpart Samuel Oruma in September.
Koskei has on several occasions pronounced himself on matters of corruption in government agencies- warning that President William Ruto was keen on ending embezzlement of public resources.
