Bradley Marongo, popularly known as Gen Z Goliath, has spoken out following public outrage over a viral video of him crawling with a lioness in Dubai.
In a statement dated Sunday, February 2, Gen Z Goliath clarified that the video was purely for content creation and did not, in any way, depict “modern slavery.”
“Hello, my fellow Kenyans. I have seen a lot of feedback regarding the video of me with the lioness at the zoo, alongside the Zam Zam brothers. I want to clear the air and address some of the comments circulating on social media.”
“First, I want to emphasize that this was never meant to be harmful or disrespectful. The video simply shows me having fun and creating content. The Zam Zam brothers have been nothing but kind to me during my time in Dubai. I understand that some people are calling this ‘modern slavery,’ but that is not the case,” he explained.
Gen Z Goliath Says Video with Lioness Was for Content Creation
Marongo also defended the Zam Zam brothers, a group of Arab men seen in the video cheering him on as he crawled with the lioness.
Some Kenyans criticized their actions, interpreting them as a form of slavery exploitation.

However, Marongo dismissed these claims, stating that he was not the first person to participate in such content.
“If you check the Zam Zam brothers’ pages, you’ll see they have done similar content with other creators, and nothing negative has come from it,” he stated.
Marongo Says No Harm Was Intended
Gen Z Goliath reiterated that the video’s sole purpose was to entertain and assured his fans that there was no malicious intent.
“I understand that it might seem unusual, but this was simply part of the creative process that content creators go through. Sometimes things go well, other times they don’t, and we learn from those experiences. I respect your concerns and appreciate the support, but I was never in any danger,” he reassured.
He also acknowledged the public’s feedback and promised to be more thoughtful about the content he creates in the future.
“I value my fans’ opinions and moving forward, I will be more mindful of the content I share,” he added.

Bradley’s statement comes after the video went viral on Saturday, February 1, 2025, showing him crawling with a lioness before the animal jumped on him, surrounded by a group of men cheering.
The footage sparked mixed reactions, with many Kenyans expressing concern.

Social media user Mudge Rulf criticized the video, stating:
“It’s shocking that, based on the comments, some people don’t understand how sex slavery may begin. It’s sad that some think this is just a way of making money while ignoring all the dangers!”
Another user, Leah Wendo, condemned it, saying:
“This is very unfortunate and cannot be considered content creation. How do you compare humans to wild animals?”
